The Perilous Road to Her Questions

  1. Olivia grapples with finding a way of helping her sister Claire, and longs for Claire from their childhood. How do you feel this mirrors relationships in your life? 

  2. The book is full of struggles. For example, struggles of/for: finding a sister, addiction, power, sibling rivalry, freedom and the loss of loved ones. What struggle resonated with you? 

    1. What struggle did you wish the author explored deeper?

  3. William is very protective of Olivia, and appears to become closer to her than others who have worked for him. However, N.L. Blandford leaves the reader wondering about the deep-seated roots of why (for now). What are your thoughts on William and his connection to Olivia?

The Perilous Road to Freedom Questions

  1. Olivia has to deal with a new set of Hammond’s as well as the prospect of becoming a mother. How do you feel the character handled her situation? Was there anything you felt was unrealistic or wished was explored further?

  2. William is a complex character and is also struggling to survive his family. How do you feel this character developed in this second book of the series?

  3. N.L. Blandford is not afraid to kill off her characters. How do you feel about the losses Olivia experiences in this book?
